Homeless man dies in Bonne Terre yard

BONNE TERRE, Mo. (AP) - Investigators say a heart attack is the apparent cause of death for a 52-year-old homeless man who collapsed in the yard of an eastern Missouri home.

The Park Hills Daily Journal (http://bit.ly/pboOzH ) reports that a passerby found the man Wednesday afternoon in the yard in Bonne Terre, then tried to revive him. The man was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Bonne Terre Police Chief Doug Calvert says the man had been staying at a homeless shelter since Aug. 28. His name was not released. Police are trying to locate relatives.

Police say there is no indication of foul play, and preliminary toxicology results showed nothing.
