Veteran Mark Jones says his experiences in the Armed Forces gave him with the passion and training to continue serving veterans through his work at the Missouri Veterans Commission.
Growing up in meager surroundings in the St. Louis area, Jones' career journey began in 1978, when he received a football scholarship to attend Clover Stockton College in Hannibal.
A year later, he transferred to Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Living in St. Louis and commuting to Lincoln throughout the week, Jones grew concerned with some of the events taking place in his hometown.
