City gets third glass recycling site

Jefferson City now has a third location for dropping off glass food and beverage containers to be recycled.
There are now two purple glass recycling bins located at 2730 W. Main St., the front and back parking lot of the Federal Recycling building.
The city’s other drop-off locations for food and beverage container glass are located at 1228 E. McCarty St., Save-a-Lot parking lot and 722 Dix Road, the old Allied Waste building parking lot.
All food and beverage containers of any color, including mason jars, can be dropped off at the three locations.
