Conference confusion a teachable moment

Sports Commentary

Sports can used to teach life lessons. And by paying a little bit of attention, you can incorporate some life lessons back into the sports world. First, the life lessons: One, if someone feels the need to tell you how funny they are, they generally aren't.

Two, if someone feels the need to tell you how smart they are, they generally aren't.

Three, if someone feels the need to tell you how honest they are, check your wallet, your pockets and watch your back.

If you're funny, if you're smart, if you're honest, people will figure that out on their own.

And when you hear someone say "It's not about the money," well, it's about nothing but the money.

Missouri stands to make an additional $12 million dollars if it leaves the Big 12 for the Southeastern Conference. It's about the money.
