Another tough test for Blue Tigers as Mules visit today

The long slog through the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association continues today for the Lincoln football team, as the Blue Tigers welcome the Central Missouri Mules to Dwight T. Reed Stadium.

While the Mules won’t join the list of the four ranked teams the Blue Tigers have already faced this season, they might as well be included. Central Missouri was ranked in the first six polls of the season, reaching as high as 12th, and are one of five MIAA teams to land in the first Super Region Four rankings released earlier this week.

In other words, it’s just business as usual for the Blue Tigers.

“We knew what we we’re getting into,” Lincoln coach Mike Jones said. “It’s an extremely tough conference, and this is a tough team that does a good job on both sides of the ball.”
