2 Missourians dead, 3 hurt in rollover on Iowa interstate

LAMONI, Iowa (AP) - Two people have been killed and three others have been injured in a rollover crash on Interstate 35 in southern Iowa.

The Iowa State Patrol told the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier that a car heading north on I-35 near Lamoni went off the road and into a ditching, rolling several times before coming to rest on a tree.

The patrol says the driver, 21-year-old Howard Owen of Holt, Mo., and his 18-year-old passenger, Cheyeanna Droonstra of Calhoun, Mo., died at a hospital.

Three other passengers were hospitalized with injuries. They were identified by the patrol as 19-year-old Lavrentsi Arakhamiya, 22-year-old Anvro Sulkhanishvili and 20-year-old Tofig Torabov, all of Lamoni.
