Former Mo. fugitive pleads guilty to gun charge

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A Kansas City woman who once spent a few hours on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted list has pleaded guilty to a federal weapons charge.

The U.S. Attorney's office says 29-year-old Shauntay Henderson pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. She faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Henderson was convicted in May 2007 of voluntary manslaughter for a fatal shooting the previous year. She had been on the FBI's most-wanted list for a few hours before she was arrested on March 31, 2007.

Henderson served three years in prison before being freed in April 2010. Five months later, police said they saw her drop a handgun as she ran from officers after a traffic stop.
