ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (AP) — Searchers have found a hiker who reported himself lost in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson said rangers found 22-year-old Andrew Lund of Branson, Missouri on Thursday. She said rangers are assessing his condition and figuring out the best way to get him out of the park, which is covered in more than 18 inches of fresh snow.
The search began Wednesday after Lund called to say he was taking shelter under a large boulder.
Park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson said rangers were able to make hourly cell phone contact with Lund through Wednesday afternoon but then were unable to reach him again.
