Another shootout could be in offing for Jays, Jaguars

Nothing less should be expected this year.

Two of the state’s best offenses will be on display as Jefferson City (8-0, No. 1 Class 6) takes on Fort Zumwalt West (6-2, No. 5 Class 6) in the second round of district play at 7 p.m. Friday at Adkins Stadium.

“Our players are very excited to play this game, especially after last year,” Jays head coach Ted LePage said. “I feel like we have, hopefully, a little bit of a good chip on our shoulder to perform well.”
