Another shootout could be in offing for Jays, Jaguars

Fort Zumwalt West and Jefferson City have had a history of lighting up the football scoreboard in recent meetings.

Nothing less should be expected this year.

Two of the state's best offenses will be on display as Jefferson City (8-0, No. 1 Class 6) takes on Fort Zumwalt West (6-2, No. 5 Class 6) in the second round of district play at 7 p.m. Friday at Adkins Stadium.

"Our players are very excited to play this game, especially after last year," Jays head coach Ted LePage said. "I feel like we have, hopefully, a little bit of a good chip on our shoulder to perform well."
