Winkler, Wilson join CVB staff

Two new staff members will help the Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau continue to serve as the primary liaison between the Capital City and thousands of annual visitors.

Jefferson City natives Ryan Winkler and Chris Wilson have been hired as the communications manager and the sports/film sales manager, respectively.

Winkler, a Jefferson City High School graduate, worked in Columbia for six years after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in communications and minors in English and theater. She has experience in radio promotions, event coordination and business management.

Recently, she worked as a strategic communications and public relations associate for a venture capital firm in St. Louis.

Wilson, a Helias High School graduate, attended Westminster College in Fulton, where he played basketball for the Blue Jays and graduated with a degree in English.

After college, Wilson spent several years as a sales representative for Midwest Block and Brick. Most recently, Wilson worked for Russellville High School as a special education teacher and basketball coach.
