Latest incentive will boost renovations for Old Town

The Old Town Revitalization Company has announced its fifth incentive program.

The 3-year-old organization, formed from a City Council exploration ad hoc committee, received its not-for-profit status earlier this year.

That will allow for more program growth in the future.

The Single Family Loan Program gained momentum through the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce Transformation.

"This ball is really rolling," said Randy Allen, chamber president. "It's an example of what we can do when we really put our heads together."

Five local banks - Central Bank, Hawthorn Bank, Home Savings Bank, Jefferson Bank of Missouri and Providence Bank - have supported the program with a special-term loan program.
