Drug busts nab 2 local residents

Auxvasse man arrested in Callaway County

Two Jefferson City residents have been charged in connection with drug busts which occurred Friday.

According to information from the Cole County Sheriff’s Department, Lambert Howell, 29, and Sheila Lewis, 37, are each being held on $50,000 bond in the county jail.

Howell is charged with one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Lewis is charged with one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

These arrests came at the same time authorities in Callaway County arrested David Williams, 32, Auxvasse. Williams is charged with first-degree trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities suspect Howell, Lewis and Williams of being connected together with drug activity in this area.
