Your Opinion: Responses to Oct. 12 letters

Dear Editor:

Regarding letters of Oct. 12, accolades to Donna Bentlage. I have written this letter mentally many times over but never sent it. That letter was followed by another simple opinion by Paul Jones which I am in agreement. Concerning the proposed one-half cent sales tax initiative, we don't need more city responsibilities and tax burden when we don't accomplish the basic needs, fully and proficiently.

Spend our taxes on law and traffic enforcement, streets, curb and gutters, drainage and other existing public work's needs. Don't take on new projects few citizen tax payers will use.

Contact your City Council, we don't need more taxes. If private interests see these projects as viable, so be it.

P.S. "Your Opinion" this date followed with three more letters of the same rhetorical nonsense of ideological argument that has no meaningful voice, That "copy" wasted space is easily skipped, unread.
