A Jefferson City man - Evan M. Hake, 19, 2114 Timber Road - was charged Friday with first-degree robbery for the Oct. 4 holdup of the Break Time convenience store, 1907 E. McCarty St.
Police said they connected Hake to the crime "through multiple leads and interviews."
He was being held in the Cole County Jail, with no bond set.
Meanwhile, police said in a news release, their investigation into a similar robbery attempt at Subway, 905 Eastland Drive, where a man a suspect walked into the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money, but left when the clerk refused to release any money.
