Atchison Street building approved as Old Town community center

A vacant building on East Atchison Street has been approved for use as a community center through the Old Town Revitalization Company.

At the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting Thursday, members approved a request to rezone 0.12 acres of the property from RD medium density residential to PUD planned unit development and amend a final PUD plan to include a community center in permitted uses of the building, located at 1015 E. Atchison St.
