A new amendment to the solid waste agreement between the city and Allied Waste seeks to eliminate several optional services the city has never used in exchange for financial contributions from the company.
Janice McMillian, director of Planning and Protective Services, said some options are covered through contracts with other organizations, but the main change from the original contract is merely deleting the yard waste option.
