A Moniteau County man Tuesday surrendered 24 of his 32 dogs to authorities after online reports about the dogs' condition went viral on a social network.
Under an agreement with authorities and the Humane Society of Missouri, Clifford Pawul will keep eight of his dogs, including four older ones and four smaller ones. No charges are expected.
Pawul lives in Kliever, an unincorporated community with about 10 houses on Highway 87, about seven miles north of California.
