Linn State Tech sets up legal fund over drug testing
Hearing on drug testing case set Oct. 25
Sunday, October 9, 2011
Linn State Technical College has announced the establishment of a legal defense fund to raise money for its legal proceedings against the ACLU.
The civil liberties organization on Sept. 14 filed a federal class-action lawsuit against the college for violating students’ rights by requiring them to participate in drug testing.
The legal defense fund, which is being handled by Central Bank in Jefferson City, is separate from the school’s usual fundraising arm, the Foundation for Linn State Technical College.
