Lady Jays hold off Lady Crusaders in softball

COLUMBIA, Mo. — A little bit of togetherness can go a long way.

At least as far as a state softball sectional.

“The kids are together, we’re playing as one,” Jefferson City coach Lisa Dey said Saturday afternoon after the Lady Jays edged the Helias Lady Crusaders 3-2 to win the title in the Class 4 District 9 Tournament.
