Woman gets 4 years in prostitution case

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A woman from Minneapolis is sentenced to more than four years in prison for luring a 16-year-old girl into prostitution.

The sentence for 25-year-old Latoshia Norris was handed down by a federal judge in St. Louis on Friday. Norris and 24-year-old Maurice Alexander, also of Minneapolis, pleaded guilty in June to enticement to engage in prostitution. Alexander was sentenced to six years in prison.

Federal prosecutors say Alexander and Norris met the girl in the Minneapolis area last year when the girl was living on the streets. They took her in and trained her to work as a prostitute. The girl eventually moved to St. Louis.
