Sporadic issues remain at Bank of America website

NEW YORK (AP) - Bank of America's homepage has had problems for a second straight day.

A message on the bank's home page Saturday said "some of our pages are temporarily unavailable." However, customers were able to access the company's online banking services through a link on its home page. A spokeswoman for the bank, Tara Burke, said there are still "some sporadic issues" and that the site was still slower than usual. She declined to comment on the reason behind the problems.

Bank of America, based in Charlotte, N.C. is the largest U.S. bank by deposits. It offers customers a free eBanking account if they do all their banking online and at ATMs.

On Thursday, the company said it would start charging a $5 monthly fee for customers who make debit card purchases.
