The Lincoln football team is getting closer. But that only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, and not football in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.

The Blue Tigers had two costly miscues, with both leading to big scores, and Lincoln fell 24-21 to Fort Hays State on LU's Homecoming.

Lincoln coach Mike Jones said there’s a very small margin of error when it comes to league games.
