Mid-Missouri man accused of Louisiana home invasion

KEITHVILLE, La. (AP) - A man from Shreveport and one from Missouri are accused of kicking in the door of a northwest Louisiana house where the Missouri man's wife was staying, and demanding at gunpoint that she return with them.

Cindy Chadwick, spokeswoman for the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, says they ran out after one of the residents shot the homeowner with a crossbow bolt, mistaking him for an attacker. The homeowner was treated and released, and did not file charges in that shooting.

Chadwick says arrest warrants accuse 42-year-old John Mitchell, of Auxvasse, Mo., and 37-year-old Christopher Scott Mobley, of Shreveport, of home invasion, and set their bond at $500,000 each upon their arrest.

The attack occurred Nov. 11 in Keithville, where the woman had gone because of problems with her husband.
