JC health center receives quality award

The Community Health Center of Central Missouri has been named a level three patient-centered medical home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

Dr. Katherine Friedebach, chief clinical officer of the center said this distinction is all voluntary, and speaks to the level of care given to patients at the center.

A medical home is not a new term, Friedebach said. Although many organizations have defined the term, generally it implies coordinated care resulting in improved quality for the patient.
