Immanuel Lutheran ready to move into new classrooms

A caravan of students carrying desks, bookcases and miscellaneous classroom equipment had the same festive feel as a holiday parade in Honey Creek this week.

Fifth- through eighth-grade students at Immanuel Lutheran School moved into two new classrooms Tuesday, in time to resume their lessons Monday.

“The kids are really excited, getting to come in this year,” said seventh- and eighth-grade teacher Mandy McDonall.

“It will be a transition from a small modular to a huge new school,” said Cole Duenckel.
