JC man charged in two burglaries

A Jefferson City man has been charged in connection with two burglaries that occurred early Tuesday.

According to court documents, Barry Tyler, 35, of 307 Jackson St., was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and two counts of property damage.

Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statements show Tyler was shown on a video surveillance camera around 12:30 a.m., carrying a cash box that had been stolen from the parking booth at the Jefferson City Parking Garage, 201 Madison St.

Later, around 3 a.m., Tyler was seen coming from Gas Plus, 501 McCarty St. He was observed removing rubber gloves from his hands and was detained.
