County employees to get another holiday in 2012

The Cole County Commission added Columbus Day to the county’s holiday schedule for 2012.

At their regular meeting Thursday, commissioners voted to honor all federal government holidays, plus the day after Thanksgiving and one personal holiday that can be at the leisure of county employees.

Presiding Commissioner Marc Ellinger and Western District Commissioner Chris Wrigley voted in favor of the schedule.
