In the Jefferson City area, several organizations and churches offered community Thanksgiving meals, both sit down and delivered, to ensure everyone got the feast they deserved.
At the First Baptist Church on East Capitol Avenue, volunteers and church members started food preparations as early as 5:30 a.m. Thursday, offering meals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
