Apartment to be rebuilt after fire

Work has begun to rebuild the apartment building damaged by fire early Saturday morning in Jefferson City.

Daniel Christensen and his partner Joe Setzer purchased the apartments at 615 Mulberry St., along with two other nearby apartment buildings, from Glen and Nancy Rohrbach on Oct. 1

The deed will be transferred Feb. 10. to Christensen and Setzer, whose company is known as Mulberry Apartments LLC.

When they bought the properties, Christensen said their goal was to fix the buildings.

"We want those who are paying to have a nice place to live, and get out the bad who are not paying and destroying the property," he said. "I've been friends with the Rohrbachs, and they have been run over by tenants. It wasn't Glen's fault. When he got things fixed, they became unfixed very fast."
