Missouri to take on Notre Dame

In CBE Classic

It’s all about tempo.

When the Missouri Tigers play Notre Dame tonight in the semifinals of the CBE Classic at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, the Fighting Irish don’t want it to turn into a sprint up and down the floor.

“They’re really good, they’re really fast,” Notre Dame coach Mike Brey said. “We can’t run around with them all 40 minutes.”

Notre Dame is off to a 4-0 start with leading returning scorer Tim Abromaitis, out with a four-game suspension. The Irish get 6-foot-8 senior, who totaled 15.4 points last year, back tonight.

The other semifinal will pit California (3-0) against Georgia (3-0) at around 8:45 p.m. The championship and third-place games are slated for Tuesday night.
