The Jefferson City Council on Monday is expected to endorse a new bus route that could begin in early January.
The new route, which is almost 13 miles, would serve Southridge Drive, Southwest Boulevard, Stadium Boulevard and West Edgewood, among others. It would run east on Missouri Boulevard and connect with the main Missouri Boulevard route at the bus shelter near Menard's, which would serve as a western hub.
Changes will have an effect on the High Street West Route, which will be modified to serve the Cole County Health Department.
The new route is expected to serve more than 2,400 people and 962 housing units.
