Relay for Life kicks off campaign

Luau for Life. That is the theme for the American Cancer Society’s 16th annual Cole County Relay for Life.

Roy Tu’ua, chair, announced the theme and the groups fundraising goal of $315,000 at the Relay for Life kickoff event Tuesday where more than 70 people and 10 volunteers gathered.

Chris Lindsey, co-chair, said last year the group raised $307,712.

“We can do this, I know we can. We are Cole County,” Lindsey said.
