In Class 1 football playoffs

TIPTON — The Tipton Cardinals advanced to the Class 1 state sectionals with a 56-14 win over Santa Fe Wednesday night.

The Cardinals (11-0) led 42-8 at halftime and never looked back.

Tipton will take on Concordia (11-0, No. 2 Class 1) Monday night in Tipton. Concordia defeated Sacred Heart 62-0 Wednesday night.

Monday’s game will be a rematch of last season’s sectional game, won by Concordia 28-14.
