Look for changes on your tax bill

Cole County Collector Larry Vincent has announced that 2011 county tax bills will be mailed out on Friday.

Vincent said this year’s 57,000 tax bills will have a different appearance and process than in previous years.

In previous years, tax bills were two parts, A and B, with both parts being returned with your payment. Once the payment was processed, the taxpayer was mailed back part A stamped “paid.”

This year, it is only necessary to return the bottom potion of your tax bill.

Probably save a lot of money not having to mail back all those pieces. Good job. Now get to work on other obvious money saving areas! Perhaps they will save enough money that they won't have to send us a tax bill for Christmas anymore!!
