Annual gathering pays homage to sacrifice of duty

The Jefferson City Veterans Council joined mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons and spouses of veterans to celebrate their service and sacrifice on Monday.

Gathering in the Jefferson City National Cemetery amidst graves dating to the 1860s, families and fellow veterans stood to honor their loved ones and comrades on this Memorial Day.
