Your Opinion: Verse reflects views on politics

Dear Editor:

The middle class and poor have to pay Social Security tax on all their income. If the rich did the same we would have no problem. Here in Missouri we vote for people that have received thousands in farm welfare. Oh, I forgot, it's only welfare when the poor get money from the government.

By now everyone should know it is not very smart to build two nuclear plants close together. If one goes bad it is almost impossible to work on the other one if it goes bad.

Our lieutenant governor should return part of his salary to the state as he spent a lot of his time to stop the poor and disabled from getting health insurance. He forgot he was elected to represent all the people not just the well off.

Many people on Medicare are against Obamacare as they are afraid their benefits may be reduced. If the courts rule Obamacare is illegal then you can worry as we got Social Security and Medicare the same way.

Years ago I saw a little verse, author unknown:

You may be a Republican

And I may be a Democrat

But we can still be friends

I'll hug your Elephant

And you can kiss my A--

Check your dictionary for donkey.

I have heard rumors they are going to change the name of the Republican party to the Avarice party, a name that better describes them.
