SEDALIA, Mo. (AP) - A 70-year-old Henry County woman was stabbed to death and her boyfriend was arrested.
Henry County Sheriff J. Kent Oberkrom says Margaret St. Pike was found dead Sunday evening at her home near Leesville.
The sheriff says someone called law enforcement from a nearby bar after overhearing a man talking about stabbing his girlfriend.
The Sedalia Democrat reports that Pike's 50-year-old boyfriend was taken into custody Sunday night and is being held at the Henry County Detention Center.
Oberkrom says the boyfriend admitted to the stabbing but a clear motive has not been determined.
