Vienna’s Meier wins two titles, Lady Eagles finish second

Katlyn Meier put in the work and it paid off.

The Vienna senior grabbed state titles in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles and finished second and third in the 100- and 200-meter dashes, respectively, to help the Lady Eagles to a second-place finish Saturday at the Class 1 State Track and Field Championships at Dwight T. Reed Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Fatima Lady Comets made a strong run for a team title in Class 2, but came up just shy, finishing third with 36 points.
