Ann Littlefield and John Kehoe will serve as this year's fundraising campaign co-chairs, United Way of Central Missouri officials announced Thursday.

In a news conference, Faye Edwards, chairman of the United Way of Central Missouri Board and manager of Scholastic, also listed the seven area organizations receiving one-time grants.

Edwards said two things are needed for a successful United Way Campaign: the support of the community and good leadership.

Kehoe said he looked forward to working with the community for another successful campaign.

"It takes everyone in our community living united to make this successful. In thanking everyone for the hard work, we are asking for your support again as we enter the campaign with a goal of $1.63 million," he said.
