Eugene handles Linn at district semifinal

NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — Kade Frey went the distance, scattering four hits, to lead the Eugene Eagles to a 7-2 win Monday night over the Linn Wildcats in the semifinals of the Class 2 District 6 Tournament.

With the win, second-seeded Eugene advances to Wednesday night’s championship game against top-seeded New Bloomfield. New Bloomfield defeated Harrisburg 4-1 in Monday night’s first game.
