The Jefferson City Lady Jays had an impressive win streak snapped to wrap up the regular season last week.

But the 5-1 loss Wednesday to Troy wasn’t necessarily the worst thing the world.

What’s immediately ahead is tonight’s Class 3 District 9 Tournament semifinal against the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Lady Tigers, which begins at 7 p.m. at Hickman High School.
