Belle, Linn, Tipton, Eugene seek trophies

Michael Huber is on a quest. The Helias senior is hoping to become an all-state golfer.

“He’s peaking at the right time,” Helias coach Dan Roling said as Huber is set to tee off at 8:45 a.m. today in the Class 3 State Golf Championships at Silo Ridge in Boliver.

Eldon teammates Braden Atkinson and Jonathan Helms also are competing in the Class 3 tournament as individuals.

Meanwhile, the Eugene Eagles will look to bring home some hardware in the Class 2 State competition in Springfield.

And Belle, Linn and Tipton will be in the trophy hunt at the Class 1 State Championships at Sedalia Country Club.
