Schoene, Meier lead Vienna at track sectionals

Chamois, St. Elizabeth athletes advance

Corey Schoene and Katlyn Meier were multiple event winners for Vienna in Saturday’s Class 1 Sectional at Midway High School.

Vienna advanced in nine girls events and six boys events to the Class 1 state championships Friday and Saturday at Dwight T. Reed Stadium.

St. Elizabeth will have qualifers in four boys and four girls events at state.

Meanwhile, the Chamois Pirates advanced to the state championship in five events while the Lady Pirates moved on in six events at sectionals Saturday in Centralia.
