Man fined $200 for telling police he paid for sex

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - A 45-year-old Columbia man has been fined $200 for patronizing prostitution after flagging police down and telling them he paid a woman $100 for sexual services.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reports Kevin Harrison pleaded guilty last month to the charge, which was a misdemeanor.

Officers responded to a call at a Super 7 Motel in Columbia on Jan. 11 in reference to a person who was trespassing in the parking lot and yelling.

Harrison stopped officers when they arrived and told them he had given an unidentified female the money, laying it on the bed "just like in the movies."

Police aren't saying why Harrison was yelling or whether the woman stole the money from him.
