Before Jason Gymnasium was filled with friends and family carrying flowers, balloons and gift bags Saturday, dozens of Lincoln University students were honored through the Reserve Officer Training Corps and the nursing department.

Friday evening’s pinning ceremony in Jefferson City for 52 nurses receiving their associate degree of applied science in nursing was the mark of a hard journey’s end, said graduate Kristin Brent.
