Fatima ends its season with loss to Fulton

WARDSVILLE, Mo. — It was what you’d expect from most district baseball tournament games between the No. 4 and 5 seeds — tight, exciting and competitive to the final out.

“We had several momentum shifts in our favor, but we couldn’t get anything going offensively,” Fatima coach Scott Kilgore said after the fourth-seeded Comets dropped a 2-1 decision Saturday afternoon to the fifth-seeded Fulton Hornets in the opening round of the Class 3 District 8 Tournament at the Falcon Athletic Complex.
