The Helias Crusaders and Lady Crusaders would like to turn back the clock about three weeks.
“We were ready,” Helias track and field coach Tom Emmel said. “But in the last three weeks, if it could go wrong, it has gone wrong.”
And that’s not good, with the Class 3 District 5 meet set for today at St. Francis Borgia High School in Washington.
“The other teams may be like us, or they may be at the top of their game,” Emmel said. “I guess we’ll find out (today).”
The injury bug has taken a big bite out of both the Helias girls and boys teams.
