Woman found strangled in home

WINFIELD, Mo. (AP) — The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad is investigating the death of a 77-year-old woman at her northeast Missouri home.

Authorities say an initial autopsy showed Bonnie Lee Brown had been strangled.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department was called at mid-morning Monday to Brown’s mobile home near Winfield, about 45 miles northwest of St. Louis.

Brown shared the trailer with her daughter and man described by relatives as the daughter’s boyfriend. Neighbors said the three had lived there for about one year.
