Study of state pay endorsed

State senators may get to debate freshman Rep. Mike Bernskoetter’s proposal for an in-depth study of state employee salaries.
“It seeks to set up an internal committee to compare the wages of Missouri state employees to the wages of other state employees in other states,” Bernskoetter, R-Jefferson City, told the Senate’s Rules, Joint Rules, Resolutions and Ethics Committee on Tuesday afternoon, “(and) to study and develop a strategy for increasing the wages of Missouri state employees and then report its recommendations back to the Senate Appropriations Committee and the House Budget Committee.”

Give it a chance and see if anything comes of it. We already know MO ranks with the dead last in the nation, so I'm not sure why a study is needed. But it's better than what's been offered in the past 2 administrations, which was nothing, zero, nada.
