Missouri House urged to defeat ‘term-limit’ reform

Philip Blumel came to Jefferson City on Tuesday with a special message.
“Last month, the Missouri State Senate, in a 29-4 vote, approved a measure that would abolish the voter-approved, eight-year limit and replace it with a more politician-friendly 16-year limit,” he said.
“Now the House is considering this bill, and I am here to urge them to reject it.”
Blumel, a West Palm Beach, Fla., certified financial planner who also is president of the Virginia-based US Term Limits group, told reporters ....
